      Mac users are thinkers, creative, visionary…

      pc users are drones, followers, philistines, bean counters, linear thinkers, people that color within the lines their whole lives, do what they are told, believe what the are told…

      damn it must be depressing being a drone pc user–like working for the government and thinking its important.

        You just said that you use a mac because you do no want to be part of the masses insinuating you want more individuality. However you have just recited everything Apple wants you to think about their product suggesting you like your opinions spoon fed to you and thus proving your own lack of individuality.

        Mac’s are a useful creative tool. However PC’s can support similar if not the same software and can achieve just as good results. Mac’s are much more expensive for the specs that you receive and so personally I’d rather keep my extra £500 in exchange for not having to see a window do a little dance when I close it. That’s just me.

        Wait a second. That’s a slightly off statement. Most people that use PCs don’t use it to be creative because all they do with it is use the Internet. All they wanted was a computer. I’m strongly against Mac, because I believe all creative “drones, followers, philistines, bean counters, linear thinkers” use Macs because of the way of thinking they have that “less users, more different” philosophy. If that is true, then why aren’t creative folk using Linux? Open Source is half of where Mac OS comes from. The Apple people barely code anything themselves. I’m a PC and I can do a great job because MY mind is great, not because my computer is labeled “different.” And expensive does not equal better. I could make a great video with the right software if I used a netbook running Ubuntu for $200 and a camera if I can’t afford a $2000 Macbook Pro. Its just simple that people take opinions from Mac commercials. That’s where it comes from.

        Dream on…. This is kind of sad to think that a piece of a junk called computer may make you more creative person.
        Wake up, read a book and open your eyes, there are many more things to do then trying to prove your intlectual horizons are wider just olnt because you use ready made pc with preinstalled system.

        Oh well. Those of us who aspire for true control over our computing experience use Linux. Just sayin’.

        Being a PC user I have to admit the inspiration I can find in Steve Jobs when he and his company makes “Mac users” believe they are “independent”, “creative” and “visionary” just by buying a brand which gives them exactly the opposite:

        Independent, in software/hardware? no way; mac users are stuck to only buy apple products and forced to think always inside of the box.

        Creative, and that’s because…. … why? really, if you think you are creative because of a brand just reconsider it.

        Vision, oh god it reminds me the conquest of America (the continent) by Europeans: British and Spanish bought colonies by selling shinning mirrors or beer, why? because native americans didn’t know about that so: Mac Users don’t know there is a world out there, so give them an Apple branded MP3 player with the “i” prefix and they’ll think it’s chic, obviously because they never had access to a whole world of MP3 players, so that’s exactly the same with their iPhone.

        That one gives me an iDea… What if I… mmm… Quake has become free, right? I should rename it to iQuake and make a fortune selling it to them.

        Any way… as I said, Steve Jobs is such a great lider.

        It’s a computer, it won’t make you more creative, it’s only a tool used by people. It’s like a pen and a pencil, some people prefer pencils, others prefer pens but please explain to me how a certain brand can make you more creative? Because you pay more for a computer?

    Easy to do. Just take a screwdriver (or something else flat) to pop off the keys and then rearrange. I never went this far with it, but I have swapped the M and N keys to mess with people. I wouldn’t recommend doing it to a laptop, those keys are a pain.

    The reason they don’t make keyboards like this is allegedly because right handed typists typed too quickly and the most used letters were all together on the keyboard thereby jamming the keys (Yeah, on typewriters). So that’s why we have QWERTY keyboards instead of ABC ones….
