Scare mongering abounds as Albuquerque’s channel 13 warns parents that “this is not simply dark humor, this is not a joke”.
I’d be laughing hard right now except that everybody in the report from the reporters to the people being interviewed should be fired for not knowing what they are talking about, not doing their research and deliberately inciting fear.
From the very first paragraph of the Wikipedia article on Pedobear:
it is portrayed as a pedophilic bear, and is used to mock pedophiles. Recently, particularly in America, it has been mistaken by some as a bait used by pedophiles to lure children.
