Russian Tampon Commercial

Submissions 232

The Russians don’t need images of women playing tennis, wearing white pants and riding around on horses all day to sell tampons - they get straight to the point.

Thanks Tim.

Leave it to the internet to turn the comments section on a movie clip on a bleeding vagina into arguments over:
      Which continent Russia exists
      A Yakov Smirnoff reference
whether or not a country of 143.5 million people have a good sense of humor.
The civil rights of the members of Pussy Riot and their treatment by the Russian government
Of course politics! Because nothing says “I’m serious & I know what I’m talking about” like a 16 paragraph rant posted in the
comments section of a video about A BLEEDING VAGINA.
whether or not this commercial is real
whether or not this video clip is offensive
the political history of Russia, since of course this is a perfect place to discuss it
With a predictable stream of moronic xenophobic & sexist remarks followed up by some very thought filled personal attacks

I’m surprised no real religious arguments. You guys sure? I mean I really think the comment section of this bleeding vag video could
really use some strongly worded arguments for and against religion. Maybe throw some cap locked text in there…you know, so we know you’re really serious.

Briana, something completely lacking in seriousness warrants some sort of serious response or cultural awareness? The internet serves as an index of endless garbage. If you are unaware of this fact, some people may mistakenly think you are uptight.

Countries with abundant history and even greater populations do not get some pass, nor is it even rational to assume that we can be complete fools. Commercials will not replace concerted discourse.

To correct part your rant: the answer is uterus. The uterus bleeds, not the vagina.

        • Penny in Texas December 1, 2013 at 9:13 pm -

Seriously. People are so flipping ignorant about lady-parts that they call every thing “down under” a vagina. Meanwhile I’ve never heard any one refer to a guy’s testicles or scrotum as a penis.

    People please get educated.

    1. This is obviously fake. As mentioned above it is a dubbed piece of a movie.
    2. Russia is geographically a part of Europe (with its territory until Urals and population of 100m on this part of the land).
    3. Russia is politically part of Europe, but not part of EU. Otherwise you can say that all non-EU countries are not part of Europe (which includes not only former soviet block and Balkans, but also Norway, Iceland, Switzerland etc). If you are speaking of euro zone, then the list of “European” countries would be even smaller.

Russian? No way! They have no sense of humour. They lock up female grunge rockers with the word ‘pussy’.

    • Tatiana July 14, 2013 at 9:06 pm - Reply

Dearest comment maker! There is nothing to do with grunge music style or the word pussy as it is or any other vulgar distinctive feature. Sense of humor is beside the point!

Though I think the price might be too high, but what kind of their own ends did they pursue making such an insensate profanation in the national sacred place?! Did they probably hope someone will wag a finger at them and let go?!

In fact, no one ever heard of those “cultural workers” up to the point. So, that’s the price they paid for their cheep popularity. Appreciable fine would may be enough for them, but this is a State matter, senseless assault of the country leaders, both political and religious, and all the faithful feelings.

  36. Mark Choi July 30, 2013 at 6:01 pm - Reply

What an utter load of nonsense! First, thanks for confirming that some people are not mature enough or mentally sophisticated enough, for concepts such as democracy. Good job being a mindless sycophant for a corrupt and corrupting regime, little different that the dictators that have always lead the Russian sheep, from Lenin to Stalin, and onward.
Second, sense of humor is seldom beside the point. All you prove when you make this claim is that you just didn’t get the joke. Refer to the above.
Third, why on earth does it matter what they expected?!? It makes no difference what they expected, only what should have happened. Regardless of what they expected, they SHOULD have gotten less than nothing, since they have an innate right to freedom of expression, and no one has an innate right not to be offended.
As to no one having heard or Pussy Riot up to that point, funny that they had a number of people there to support them, and had played numerous shows prior. Just because YOU were ignorant, you can not project your ignorance on the rest of the world!
As to it being a “State matter”, thanks once again for demonstrating beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are indeed a mindless sycophant for your evil, fascist regime, headed by Putin and his cronies, with NO democratic principles at all. While I have no sympathy for the majority of you sheep (you deserve to be slaughtered) I can not say the same for the valiant, sentient partisans who wee the truth, and rail against the machine, and suffer for their attempts to free your from your own slavery. Funny that you fail to the the irony of the fact that this performance took place in a church, a church built to celebrate, consecrate, and idolify Jesus.
Finally, you talk nonsense about a “senseless assault of the country leaders, both political and religious, and all the faithful feelings”, and fail to know enough about the very religion you claim is assaulted to know that this is EXACTLY what Jesus himself is supposed to have done, entering the Temple, far more sacred than any church, and running down the aisles, overturning the tables of the money changers, violently assaulting them, and chasing them out of the building. Once again, Russian hypocrisy knows no bounds!

That was a reply to Tatiana.

      • Maryna Cherniavska August 1, 2013 at 4:37 am - Reply

You know Mark, a lot of Russians actually agree with you. Except for the sheep remark, to be sure.
What’s being done currently in Russia is a thing unheard of since Stalin was there. And what’s worse, the people can’t or won’t do anything about it. They don’t feel that they can change the system. Those who can just leave the country. Those who cannot, they sit tight and try not to be noticed. Because when you are noticed, you’re in danger. And there’s no limits whatsoever to what can be done with you in this case. And no money or power will help you, as it’s been proven several times by now.

        • Mark Choi August 1, 2013 at 4:13 pm -

Maryna, to be clear, I was not implying that all Russians were sheep. I was using the word “Russian” to modify “sheep”, not the other way round. Unfortunately, as a nation, however, there is a mindset of just laying low and following orders, much as there is in many Asian countries, which allows people like Stalin and Putin, Kim and Mao, to stay in power. The same types of people exist everywhere, and may even be in the majority everywhere, inclined here in the U.S., but certain cultural mindsets exacerbate the problem, allowing that mindset to justify totalitarian control over the minority. That mindset is perfectly in evidence in Tatiana’s comment. Don’t make waves, don’t offend. Tow the line.
It is unfortunate, and scary, and does not bode well for the Russian people in the short term, who managed to bravely throw off the yoke under Yeltsin, only to clamor to take it back on as soon as democracy got a little messy.
But for the lot of Russians who agree with me, keep heart, the whole world is watching. We hear your voices. We’re doing what we can. You are not alone.

      • Vik September 5, 2013 at 4:23 am - Reply

haha, Mark all your so-called intelligent talks on democracy and etc. end up on these your words - “you deserve to be slaughtered”.

Why do we even need to advertise tampons or other feminine hygiene products anyway. We all know it is a part of life and I think women are smart enough to figure out what they need to do every month on their own. We don’t need a ridiculous commercial to remind us. I think we got it.

    • Mark Choi August 6, 2013 at 2:30 pm - Reply

Um, because advertising is not about education, it is about selling a particular brand of product, maybe? The fact that you think companies make commercials for your benefit does not say much for your critical thinking skills.

    • Steve Wilde September 2, 2013 at 4:18 pm - Reply

I am afraid that was a bit naive, if there is no advertising then how will people know about your product and if you think that standing in front of them in the store is enough when there are many brands available then you will find the one people have heard of is going to be the one sold.

I can only feel sorry for you chocking on anger and grudge, waisting your miserable lives for such idiots who chose to show off in such a cheap way instead of being good moms and wives. If that’s your national heroes. I am definitely NOT in your boat/ Do smth for life! Someting really good and useful

    • Mark Choi August 8, 2013 at 4:01 pm - Reply

Choking on anger and grudge? The only one doing that here is you, my friend. Look at your original post! Hell, look at your current one! Instead of letting people live their lives and speak freely, you feel a need to control people, and dictate to them what they can and can not say, where and when.
Sad that you think the only role of women is to be good moms and wives. Yes you definitely are not in my boat, which is why you are essentially living in what in many ways is worse than a third world country.
As for doing something good with my life, what, you mean standing up for freedom, like Pussy Riot?

      • Tatiana August 8, 2013 at 4:16 pm - Reply

Huh Huh Huh! @Standing up for freedom!@ They only stood up for the cheapest fame, and they’ve done that before such as making mass sex in one of the largest museums in front of the children visitors. as for being a good mom and wife is definitely not the only one but the biggest and the best role for the woman which was given to her by God.
You can call me or anybody else (as most of the people excluding a very small number of them share my point of view) any kind of words but we ARE The Greatest Cultural Nation with or without Stalin, Putin or Putout… or stupid and useless Pussy Riot.
        Jail. That’s good.

        • Mark Choi August 8, 2013 at 4:44 pm -

Um, utter nonsense. First, fame is how you get a message out! They could have easily achieved fame with no message. You clearly have no concept of personal freedom. You deserve your string of dictators, including your current one. But you have no right to foist such autocrats as Putin on the rest of the citizens of Russia, struggling under his mantel of godhood.
Meanwhile, your latest post was exemplary of your level of disinformation. First, they did not have “mass sex in one of the largest museums”. It was a staged photo of less than ten people, and there was no actual sex. Second, it was NOT “in front of the children visitors”. (Not that that makes much of a difference, as seeing naked bodies, yes, even naked bodies having sex, is in NO way, shape, or form, harmful to children.) Third, and most important, it was not Pussy Riot! It was the art group VOINA. You might want to work on getting your facts straight.
As to your nonsense about women’s roles, a women’s most important roles are the ones she choses for herself, whether that entails being a doctor, a nuclear physicist, fighting for freedom, or yes, being a mom. NONE of those has any greater precedence over any other.
As to your bit about being “the greatest cultural nation”, it is not my intention to get into a pissing contest about cultural significance, and Russia certainly COULD HAVE been culturally significant, but instead squandered any cultural importance away following blindly behind a stream of dictators from the Czars through Lenin and Stalin, on to Putin.
But let’s have some empirical data. You claim Russia is “The Greatest Cultural Nation “. Please make a list of things that Russia has contributed to the culture of the world. Not things contributed and appreciated only inside Russia, but world wide. Granted, there are a few, but hardly a number commensurate with Russia’s geographic or demographic size. And what few culturally significant contributions Russia has made were mostly made by people who were equally oppressed by the State. So they are not members of your “60%”.
Russia could have a position of greatness, but people like you, who allow people like Purtin to stay in power, will alway cause any potential cultural significance to be stunted and still born.

        • Tatiana August 8, 2013 at 4:57 pm -

I am very very very sorry I did not read your post through it was too long. I got the point
I know it all about that museum story i just did not go into the details for you. Any slight detail you gave does not make any difference really - they did not go to prison or anything for that one
I would gladly continue that dispute but you have no respect to your opponent and I do respect myself to carry on like this.
I live my happy beautiful life full of tiny every-day wonders with my family and friends. I do not think any bloody thing on Earth could make me do any harm to them such as going to prison for a vague reason to make them all miss me and cry
Have you ever been to Russia? Little do you know to judge! I’ve been to America by they way. I have my point of view on your psychology but I ALSO HAVE A RESPECT not to comment on that they way you do. @Friend@

        • Mark Choi August 8, 2013 at 5:21 pm -

Again, nonsense. Slight differences often make ALL the difference. They are only “slight” in your mind when they show you are wrong. You claimed it was Pussy Riot. It was not. You claimed it was “mass sex”. It was not. You claimed it was in front of children. It was not (unless you include unborn fetuses).
Yes, they did not go to prison. So what? You are assuming I think they should have, which I don’t.
As to your bit about “doing harm to your family”, you are doing harm to them by gleefully forcing them to grow up under a totalitarian regime that usurps their freedom and steals their sovereignty. Your “tiny everyday wonders” are baubles and trinkets your government uses to distract your fro the fact that you are living in a cage.
As to your last bit, please note that I am not distracted from the fact that you failed to address my challenge to your previous claim of Russia being “The Greatest Cultural Nation”.
In your subsequent comment, you go on to list categories, no actual achievements, and EVERY single achievement you list is in science and engineering. You made the claim of Russia being “The Greatest Cultural Nation”, NOT the greatest scientific nation. NONE of those things you listed are actual achievements, and NONE of them are cultural. And many of the scientific achievements required either leaving Russia or being granted special treatment not afforded to other Russian citizens.

        • Tatiana August 8, 2013 at 5:34 pm -

You are very very very very rude. If it is all nonsense what makes you keep on this conversation? You did not convince me a bit! i do not think we live a free democracy but all the problems of the country I live in have nothing to do with cheap hooligans.
In 1987 I was in Russian-American peace walk. We marched through the country and there were 200 of us (both Russians and Americans). We knew what it was for!
I remember that American girl singing on the way: “I am a Patriot And i love my country Because my country Is all i know”
          Got the message?

Tatiana, are you still doubt that you are living in a cage… I am agreed with Mark Choi. Your opinion is not absolute in Russia. Most of the best representatives of “The Greatest Cultural Nation” were persecuted by the State in Russia at all times.
Knowing history of your country will help you to open your eyes…
Do you know life of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky, Kapitsa, Sakharov and Sikorsky, Baryshnikov, Nureev, Stravinsky and Rostropovich? Who are the physicists Abrikosov, Novoselov and Geim? Why are they don’t live in Russia now?
How many Russian writers, artists, actors, scientists were in jail and Gulag or had been killed by different Russian dictators…
As mom you must know more about Russian history and about culture of the others countries… The great culture exists in most of them too. Great surprise… Great writers were not only Russian, he-he. Markes, Remark, Ayn Rand (Russian-born) and others can turn over your world…
          Good luck with studying…
And after that you possible will know as many as Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina from Pussy Riot about Russian culture and history…

        • Mark Choi October 18, 2013 at 11:22 am -

          Um, no?
And yes, relative to Russia, my country is great, and wealthy and happy. And of course it has murders (it also has lots of Russian). But it is not an issue of absolutes, but relatives, and relative to Russia, again, yes, we are all that.

        • ineta2007 October 18, 2013 at 11:59 am -

Thank you for your reply. So what is your country called then? I would like to compare my opinion with your opinion about your country. Please provide the answer. Tnx

        • Mark Choi October 18, 2013 at 12:40 pm -

I have no concern for your opinion on my country, nor is it irrelevant, as it in no way excuses the actions of Putin, even if my country were North Korea, Iran, Somalia, or worse.

        • ineta2007 October 18, 2013 at 1:06 pm -

Your reply was rude. And if your country is so great as you are saying why dont you say it name? You very proudly said that people in your country healthy, wealthy etc. So why dont you release name of your country?

        • Mark Choi October 18, 2013 at 1:48 pm -

Uh, no it wasn’t. It was a statement of fact. I have no concern for your opinion for my country, the U.S., one way or there other. Nor would I care if you didn’t care about my opinion about MY country.
Why do you think I should care about what you think about the U.S.?
And I did not say they were healthy and wealthy, I said that in general they were, which is nt the same thing. As to the rest, perhaps you need to revisit the start of this thread. It is NOT about the Russian people, either relative to the U.S., to themselves, or anyone else. It was a reply to Max who was singing the praises of Vladimir Putin and of his high respect for him, simply because “while [he disagrees] with some of the domestic politics under him – he is a force against Anglo-American Imperialism, and the wider pattern of European Imperalism that continues to haunt the world today.
I will support anyone (other than Nazis) who will take the fight to the West.”
So, in other words, he supports a man who is nothing but a petty, little two bit tyrant dictator who murders, tortures and imprisons his own people because he is a coward, and hides in fear of three young women because they sing and say nasty things about him in public.

Hey, I’m an American woman, and I’ve been MORE offended by the candy coated ” little white tennis shorts, out in mini dresses with my dachshund, playing on the beach and shopping while skipping with my friends” type of advertising for tampons and other ‘feminine hygiene’ products!!! I, along with countless other women, worldwide, generally don’t feel a whole lot like be a ‘little miss perky’, when my body is in that phase. BUT, I DO want a product that does the job it’s designed to do, in the most effective possible way!

The irony of this ‘ad’, which is freakin’ hysterical, btw~!!! is that, if a woman really were to swim in waters where sharks common, while menstruating, it probably wouldn’t matter if the tampon leaked or not! ((sharks can smell even a droplet of blood in the ocean, from up to over a mile away!))

So sheeeesh, people! Lighten up! It’s a joke! Bloody Hell!!!! They could have just as easily used that very same clip for a freakin’ Band-Aid or Neosporin spoof!

*and, nationality has NOTHING to do with it… except to make fun of all the countries that feel it’s ‘taboo’ to address such a subject ‘directly’!

In the words of the immortal Alice Cooper… “only women bleeeeeed…!”
    — deal with it like adults for a change, oh mighty advertisers!

The earlier exchange over the relative merits of today’s Russian Republic and yesterday’s Soviet Union as societies of great culture producing great artists simply ignored (for whatever reason) the incredible contributions to the art of civilization by the likes of Dmitri Shostakovich and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Yes, culture and art can and do find expression, even under incredibly adverse circumstances — and I would say that both Shostakovich and Solzhenitsyn were far more representative of the Soul of Mother Russia than any of the dictators that oppressed them. And you can go back earlier to the likes of Sergei Rachmaninov and Igor Stravinsky, both of whom chose exile over life under the Soviet heel. No, Russia has made great contributions to culture and art — despite the regime — and those will survive long after the likes of Vladimir Putin are relegated to a footnote in the history books.

The girls in the advertisement look and dress like like they are from the European cultural tradition. The silliest thing about the ad is that the blonde swimmer is seemingly oblivious to the fate of brunette.

The person who made this commercial knows nothing about periods and isn’t a woman:
the blood stops flooding when girls are in the water or even taking a shower! And in the pool or sea, the tampon gets soaked with chlorine or sea water, somehow! So the shark shouldn’t have noticed her internal bleeding.
This add is clear but bullshit.

Mark Choi, you are smart, I’ll give you that… But to think that any of the trolls commenting actually read anything other than the first two comments is silly. I did like your rebuttals though… Very well composed.

So let me sum up for anyone else reading this:
1: its a parody, not a real commercial… But funny to people with a sense of humour
2: if you don’t want to be bothered to read more than one comment, or get bored easily, don’t post.

this is not russian commercial:) russian male voice yes, but the video is not russian. Russians do commercials about white pants, sports in shorts, etc:) we are boring:)

PLEASE GUYS!!! women DO NOTTTT get their period when they are in the water! These type of commercial are so pathetic because they show MEN who don’t have a f. clue about girls and that have never been with a women!!! now you know, WOMEN DON’T GET THEIR PERIOD WHEN THEY ARE BATHING, YES, IT’S TRUE!! SO THIS COMMERCIAL IS NOT FUNNY FOR WOMEN, ONLY FOR MEN WHO NEVER HAD A GIRLFRIEND!

    • Mark Choi October 14, 2013 at 12:07 pm - Reply

Wrong on so many levels. First, as pointed out REPEATEDLY, this is NOT a real commercial. It is an overdub of a movie trailer to make a FAKE commercial. Second, being in water does NOT stop a girl’s (or woman’s) period. Do you even know what a period is?!? While it DOES prevent blood from flowing temporarily, there would be more than enough blood in the area already that would disperse into the water for sharks to sense.
So, to make a list of things YOU don’t have a clue about:
      1) iMDB
      2) Movie 43
      3) What men know
      4) What women know
      5) Biology
      6) Human physiology
      7) Fluid dispersal
      8) Comedy.
Oh, and considering the number of women who posted who thought the video was funny, your last statement is just as unfounded as the rest.

      • anna October 18, 2013 at 9:04 pm - Reply

Dude you are a guy so you simply don’t get it!!!!
any woman knows that her period stops while she’s in water!
it’s pathetic commercial and a pathetic comment you made.. because you simple DON’T KNOW anything about woman.
c’mon, it’s not that we are leaking or we still have it in the area.. it simply STOPS.
        dude.. learn before speaking

        • Mark Choi October 20, 2013 at 12:52 pm -

Um first, you don’t need to be female to know biology. You think because you have a uterus that you understand the intricacies of Müllerian system prenatal development and Wolfian system repression in the absence of androgenizing hormonal signals? Yeah, I thought not.
I would suspect that a male gynecologist knows FAR more than you about the subject. How can that be possible. By your logic, all females automatically have a medical degree.
Second, being in water does NOT stop your period. Again, as stated, if it did, girls wouldn’t need to buy tampons, they could just go swimming and be done with it. Being in water only temporarily impedes sloughing, and closes the vaginal tract. Your period is not the flow coming from your vagina, it is the monthly PERIOD of time during which this takes place. Being in water does NOT stop this. Tell you what, run an experiment. Next time you’re on your period, get in water and stay there for 48 hours. We’ll see how long your period “stops”.
          Learn yourself.

You’re right Tim, they don’t need women on horses or wearing white pants. But clearly, they needed 2 gorgeous women, make-up perfectly in tact, great bodies, include the butt shot, wearing bathing suits, on the beach, walking seductively and slowly to the water.
Sure Tim, very much to the point.

I am Russian, and I highly respect Vladimir Putin - because while I disagree with some of the domestic politics under him - he is a force against Anglo-American Imperialism, and the wider pattern of European Imperalism that continues to haunt the world today.
I will support anyone (other than Nazis) who will take the fight to the West.

So Stalin, Pol Pot, Q’dafi, Mao, Bin Laden, they would all get your unqualified support. What an asinine foreign policy.
How many of your own countrymen have to be murdered, imprisoned, tortured, and oppressed for you to wake up to your servitude?

Mark, i am also russian as Max, every country in the world had/has blood in their history so you can relate your question to every country….and if you would compare Latin world or Arabic world or even some events which are happening in countries like America, and some EU countries - i would not say that someone is so “tortured” in our country…

        • Mark Choi October 18, 2013 at 11:20 am -

You are absolutely right. But none of that absolves your government from its crimes. Or its nonsense claims of democracy. Just because there are other bad actors in the world does not let you off the hook. And compared to the U.S. and most of Europe, sorry, but Russia is a petty, third world dictatorship latching on desperately to dreams of former glory. Tell your story to the Russian journalists murdered in the dead of night, the business men whose businesses were stolen by the state, the artists and dissidents, by the thousands, imprisoned and tortured for nonconformance. That the U.S. has its own issues does not excuse Russia, and its issues pale in comparison. Pussy Riot is just the tip of the iceberg.

        • ineta2007 October 18, 2013 at 12:08 pm -

I agree there should be no excuses for anyone and anything. But what I am trying to to understand is why are you “attacking” Russia so much if I may use that word? I mean I m just wondering what Russia did to you that you feel such a need to say what you were saying? Like from general point of view, I have never lived in Mexico but I did read a lot and know a lot what that country can be critisized but I m not going to “compete” with native Mexicans as they who grew up in their country for sure knows more about it then what I know from mass media or books…I can suggest that maybe you lived in Russia and something bad happened to you?or you have some russian friends in your country who as I mentioned in my previous post saying “rubbish” about Russia? I m just trying to understand what was your motivation to be so “aggressive” towards some russian comments? Thank you for replying anyway.

There are lots of nationalities that get misrepresented in the mainstream media, as well as on the internet. A lot of humor is bad taste. Monty Python’s LIfe of Brian would not really be acceptable to many Muslims if make about their religion, but surely accepting freedom of speech means that we recognise that from time to time we will be offended. I have Russian friends. I bet some of them would find this funny and others be offended.

Some humour is harder to take. this Britsh kids think this is OK. if you are Latvian I guess you might think otherwise. here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpDrGAN30-w

It’s worse when news organisations set out to lie of course like Russia Today TV most of the time and bits of BBC TV. here are strongly anti Polish and Ukrainian

Well, you aparently lack any kind of a sense of humor. This is actually funny. Why do you take it so personally? First of all, it’s just a clip from somewhere, not a real commercial. Even if it was, it would be fine, because today everyone is just too sensitive to anything. You can’t talk about anything anymore, because someone will get offended. You can’t mention the word “poverty” and “poor people” because the poor will get offended. You can’t talk about dinosaurs, cause the creationists will get offended. And you can’t make fun of menstruation, cause women with no sense of humor will get offended… It’s just stupid and sad. Why not just have a laugh and forget about it. It didn’t do anything to you, so why so angry? The same kind of fun is being made of men and women everywhere, but for some reason you don’t see men yelling sexism…

I have no reason to believe it is not a real commercial, some countries around the world have a very different sense of humour than north Americans, I thought it was funny and certainly caught my attention which is what commercials are suppose to do!

    • Mark Choi October 22, 2013 at 1:38 pm - Reply

You have every reason to believe it is fake, like, for instance, the fact that, as was pointed out several times in the comments, this is actually a scene from the film “Movie 43″ that was overdubbed into a parody commercial.

  106. Lynika October 21, 2013 at 10:03 pm - Reply

I don’t find it funny either, I find it disturbing, especially seeing I lost a male friend to shark attack. I don’t know how enacting a very real and horrific incident for many people of all ages and gender is supposed to be entertaining. Obviously some people have found it funny. The additional problem I have with it is that shark attack can occur no matter what your tampon, gender, age, race. So it has no basis either. Just shock and gore to catch attention. In a marketing sense, sure, it has grabbed attention. If anything it would make me avoid the brand as the Ad creates an off-putting association with the product.

women are the only creatures who bleed for 10 days or so and still do not die? And no longer can the excuse be made “I’m on my period.” My solution?. There is nothing wrong with your mouth, now get to work sluts, it’s your life duty

    • Mark Choi October 22, 2013 at 1:40 pm - Reply

Besides the fact that you are an idiot troll, how about you go back to biology class? Or at least maybe get a real girlfriends instead of internet porn. If you did, maybe you’d know enough about female biology to know that normal periods don’t last for anywhere near ten days.

Let me guess Gary, the last time you were that close to a vagina was when you were coming out of one? Regardless of what you may think, sometimes you should keep some things to yourself before you prove to everyone how ignorant and absurd you are.

I really enjoyed it. Laughed out loud. After reading the commentary i realize it was insensitive to the nationality it was ascribed to. Like some dumb racist joke. Turn it around put it on me then. We are all stupid in ways, intelligent in ways and human! It is silly and funny. Yes i swam in shark infested waters while i was bleeding (and No, the bleeding does not stop when you are in water for all you biologists) and when i get worried enough and concerned for my friends i get out of the water and sit on the beach. I like the laughter!

Get a sense of humor people! As a 37yo Aussie gal and I think it’s hilarious! It doesn’t require political and religious righteousness, nor advanced discussions on the technological and social advances of opposing nations throughout time. Big up to Russia for having a sense of humor, maybe some of you should think about visiting there and getting that stick out of your butts. The only caps lock required here is BA HAHAHAHA!!! because it’s funny :)
